Michael Robert Patch
Artistic Director & Conductor
Michael Robert Patch is very
excited to be working with Oakland-East Bay Gay Men's Chorus
as Artistic Director and Conductor. He is from Kansas City,
where he attended UMKC Conservatory of Music. While at the
Conservatory he completed a degree in K-12 music education
with intensive study in conducting, composition and vocal
performance. Michael has been involved in church music
from an early age; he started as a singer in his family's
musical ministry group, and is currently working as Music Minister
at Lafayette Christian Church. Mr. Patch has worked with Dr.
Eph Ehly, Gustavo Halley, William Everett and Charles Bruffy.
Michael has also had an extensive performance career, working
and singing with choirs of all shapes and sizes, including the
Grammy Award winning Kansas City Chorale. Mr. Patch has sung
in performances throughout the United States and Europe, in
such venues as St. Stephen’s Basilica in Budapest and Carnegie
Hall in New York City. Michael would like to take a moment to
thank his friends and family for their continuous support and
his husband, Michael Seely, for his unconditional love and
respect. It is these people to whom Michael owes his music. |
