Dirk Burns is happy to be the newest member of the OEBGMC team. Originally from the midwest, Dirk spent the 1980s in New York working for the National Gay Task Force and later in the sales department for the Shubert Theaters on Broadway.  In 1989 he moved to San Francisco for a man. San Francisco lasted; the man didn’t. His career in the Bay area has included working for the Shorenstein Hayes Nederlander theatres, and as Director of  Passenger Services for the Blue & Gold Fleet. In 2004 he was hired as Executive Director of California Revels in Oakland where he still spends most of his daylight hours. He also runs Frantix.net, a small ticketing business for the LGBT community.  When not working, which is rare, he spends time with his boyfriend Mike, and his two beagles Attikus Finch and Jadzia Dax.
