Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus presents
An Evening of Piano Music
This benefit recital starts at 7:30 p.m. with a silent
auction at 6:30 p.m. Performances will include piano duets and solo works by
Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Granados, Liszt, Mompou, Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff.
President of OEBGMC Brad Niess says "We thank Stephanie and Andrew for
coordinating and performing at this benefit recital in advance of our trip to Denver
for the GALA Music Festival from July 7 th to the 11th."
GALA Choruses is the
leading association committed to serving the Gay Lesbian Bi-sexual and
Transgender choral movement. The GALA Music Festival provides an
opportunity for choruses to share their joy of music.
"This is my first year with OEBGMC and I love it!" says choir member Antonio
Ortiz. "OEBGMC is a very active organization producing concerts that not only
benefit our organization but we also support local non-profits." Proceeds from
this concert will help send all interested OEBGMC members to Denver.
An Evening of Piano Music will feature a silent auction and refreshments and the ability to purchase our brand new CD "The First Ten Years". The concert program involves solo works by Mozart, Bach, Chopin and Clara Schumann, and culminates in a breathtaking performance of Franz Schubert's "F Minor Fantastie" for piano four-hands.
We hope you will make every effort to enjoy this wonderful evening of music and art to support the works of OEBGMC.
